Pistachio Cake Recipe

YUMMMY!!!This pistachio cake recipe with sour cream is absolutely delicious and rich. So this was my first trial for pistachio cake and let me tell you it is super yummy. So, my mom loves nuts cake especially the one filled with dry fruits flavor. So this is my sister’s recipe she told me she made for her mother in law and she loved it and it happens same with my mom she loved it too in fact whole family loved it and many people loved it because the way I have done frosting with some berries like strawberry and blueberry. A nut lover should definitely try this cake, it is super yummy and delicious.


  1. 2 Cups Pistachio
  2. 2+ 1/3rd Cup Cake Flour
  3. 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  4. 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  5. 3/4th cup Butter
  6. 1 Teaspoon Salt
  7. 4 Egg Whites
  8. ½ Cup Sour Cream
  9. 1+ ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  10. 1+ 3/4th Cup Powdered Sugar
  11. 1 Teaspoon Pistachio Essence
  12. ½ Cup Sour Cream
  13. 1 Cup Milk


  1. Firstly, preheat the oven at 180 degrees and then grease the cake tin with butter.
  2. Secondly, make a crumble of pistachio in the food processor. Then, mix the cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pistachio crumble in a bowl and mix it well.
  3. Then, beat the sugar and butter together until soft and creamy, then add egg whites and beat until it is incorporated with the ingredients, beat the sour cream, vanilla essence, and pistachio essence.
  4. Thirdly, add all the wet ingredients with dry ingredients and whisk it well so there are no lumps left.
  5. Finally, pour the batter in the cake tin and bake it for 20-25 minutes or until done.


BAKING TIME- 25 minutes

TOTAL TIME- 40 minutes
